Millegen Biotech and University of Copenhagen has collaborated supported by Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in the development of a new recombinant bioluminescent fusion protein scFv-Gluc, with the aim of testing the new format for in vivo noninvasive biolumeniscent imaging (BLI) of beta-cells in whole animals and pancreas tissue. The first fusion protein is currently under in vitro testing.

IC2 expected on the international market from September 1st, 2011 – You can order now! http://www.immunosigns.com/archives/150?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ic2-expected-on-the-international-market-from-2011 http://www.immunosigns.com/archives/150#comments Thu, 26 Aug 2010 11:50:07 +0000 http://localhost/immunosigns/?p=150 The IC2 monoclonal autoantibody and its biotinylated, HRP, FITC and PE conjugated formats are planned to be commercial available from September 1st, 2011 after stability and quality control.  Antibody-online.com will on commission contract with ImmunoSigns do both marketing and sale, but the products will also be directly available from ImmunoSigns in Copenhagen directly from this homepage. See more under “Products” and in our “Webshop” for IC2-products and the various conjugates with biotin, HRP, FITC and PE. We expect the native pepsin fragments Fab and F(ab’)2 can be commercial available from 2012, and later on eventually some recombinant formats.
Ordering can start from August 1st, 2011, but delivery first from September 1st, 2011. A 50% introduction discount is given for the first 2 months, August-September 2011, only.

The in vivo studies are preliminary and need to be further explored using other radioisotopes and the soon available recombinant formats (presented at the American Diabetes Association Scientific Session in Orlando June 2010 – webcast on ADAs homepage).

In the search for the autoantigenic epitope for IC2 – is sulfatid CD1d complexes the target? http://www.immunosigns.com/archives/146?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=in-the-search-for-the-autoantigenic-epitope-for-ic2-is-sulfatid-cd1d-complexes-the-target http://www.immunosigns.com/archives/146#comments Thu, 26 Aug 2010 11:48:50 +0000 http://localhost/immunosigns/?p=146 It has already been know for many year the the IC2 monoclonal autoantibodies sees epitipes located in socalled lipid rafts on the cell surface of the beta-cells. Studies by confocal laser fluorescence microscopy will now be supplement with studies aiming to characterize the exact epitope for the unique beta-cell specific autoantibodies.
